I used to love sewing, but haven't had time for it in a few years. But, I've really been wanting a leather clutch, so I decided to make one. It didn't turn out exactly as I had hope though. I wanted a longer and more rectangular shape, but I was scissor happy and it became more of a square. I like the color I chose though, especially pairing it with this skirt. What do you guys think?
Oh, I'm going to the beach today :) So excited!

Nice! I feel really stupid saying this, but I didn't know one could sew leather. I mean, I realize it can be done...but I didn't know it was easy to do. Maybe it wasn't. Is it? Do tell! Tutorial even! Yeah!
ReplyDeleteHey, super DIY make! I'd love it if you could do a tutorial, it'd be so cool to have a go at making one myself! Fab colour.

This is a cute idea! I love the color :) I've been lagging on my comments, but I wanted to get back to you about your comment about possibly making a maxi dress. That's an awesome idea--I'm thinking of making one for myself too!
ReplyDeleteSome of the best advice I can give you is taking time to finish your seams (pinking or zigzag stitching the raw edges, clean-finishing, french-seams, etc). I use to think it was really nit-picky, but it really makes a difference, even if only you know the wiser. Feel free to drop me a line about something specific :)
Cute outfit, I like your hair :)
