According to me,
being 19 is no different than being 18. Except for the fact that Canada looks a lot more fun now haha. So today, I enjoyed myself by wearing a cute outfit (sadly no pictures were taken), going to Mongolian Barbeque with my parents and boyfriend, and watching The Devil Wears Prada (one of my favorite movies). My amazing roommate decorated my room just like they did in the episode of The Office where Jim and Dwight run the party committee and decorate everything in brown and black. I love that show, so it was really fun walking into my room with those decorations.
My mom got me this amazing tea pot! I really adore tea, and since I'm living on my own now, I needed one of my own. She found this one at this little tea parlor we go to every year. She also got me a loose tea holder. I personally like loose tea better than bagged. I'm so happy my mom got me this.
Overall my birthday was a success. The University of Michigan lost in basketball, which was really upsetting. But at least it was a good game. I hope your teams did well, and I hope you all had a great weekend.
On another note, I'd love it if you could follow me on Chictopia, Fashiolista, Twitter, Facebook, or click the little hearts next to my pictures to add it to your inspirations on Hypeed. I would really love if you'd like me on Facebook; my page is only for my photography and I'm trying to get as many followers as possible. Thank you so much!!
Stay happy.

Gisele Bundchen for Vogue Turkey March 2011
According to me,
Gisele is the ultimate. She's a complete bombshell, but she can model high fashion without being too sexy. But really, what girl doesn't want to look like this? I know I do haha. These pictures are great. The makeup, her hair, and the colors are amazing.

Blogger Feature: Blah Blah Becky
According to me,
exploring new blogs is one of the best things about blogging. I came across Blah Blah Becky a few weeks ago, and I really love it. She has very cute and fun style. Some of my favorite posts are here, here, and here.
Here are some of the questions I asked her:
1. What inspired you to start your own fashion blog?
In a nutshell, I was bored after being made redundant and needed somewhere to express myself creatively. I'd been reading other people's blogs for quite a long time and it just seemed natural to begin my own as I've always loved writing.
2. What do you enjoy most about blogging?
The main bonus for me is that it's enabled me to 'meet' like-minded people from around the world. The blogging community is just so friendly: everyone I've encountered has the attitude "the more the merrier", there has been no bitchiness or competition at all. In fact I think all bloggers are keen to share the love and promote each other - by doing things like this feature!
3. Who is your fashion icon?
Audrey Hepburn will always be an icon of mine, not only for her timeless fashion sense but also because she was just a wonderful human being.
I also love the style of Olivia Palermo and Diane Kruger. They just never get it wrong!
4. What is your favorite blog to read?
It's really hard to choose just one but if pushed I'd probably say Cupcakes and Cashmere. I've been reading blogs for years and the two I've stuck with since I first discovered fashion blogs are Liberty London Girl and Kingdom of Style. They are always fresh, honest, and cover a range of topics. My new favourite is Kendi Everyday - I don't know how I let her pass me by until now!
5. What is your favorite current trend?
Oh my god I am loving SS11! There isn't a trend I DON'T like! I think the romance/ballet look is most easily incorporated into my current wardrobe as it's most like my natural go-to style but I can't wait to experiment with the colour pop trend once the weather warms up. Until then I'm easing myself into it by adding small accents of colour to my outfits (a bright watch/bag/etc.).
6. Who is your favorite designer?
I can't pick just one, sorry! Some of my favourites are Sonia Rykiel, Alber Elbaz, Alexander Wang, Mary Katrantzou, Phillip Lim, Holly Fulton, Collette Dinnigan, and Erdem. And Luella Bartley needs to start up again, she was just amazing!
7. What is your favorite place to shop?
It's safe to say that most of my wardrobe comes from ASOS, H&M or Uniqlo. For decent quality clothes at purse-friendly prices they're unbeatable. Shoe-wise I think River Island is the best on the high street but Kurt Geiger is great for an occasional treat! But for the overall experience my favourite place to shop has to be Selfridges - HEAVEN.
8. What’s one trend you’d love to see make a reappearance?
I would have said 70s but here it is! I'm so happy that flares and floppy brimmed hats are back. So seeing as that one already has made a reappearance I'm going to go back in time a little further and say the 60s. I love looking at photos of Brigitte Bardot, Pattie Boyd, Jean Shrimpton, Mary Quant, Jackie O, and other icons of that era. The whole look was so simple but just gorgeous.

Versatile Blogger Award
According to me,
getting recognized by fellow bloggers is a very exciting thing. Angel from Fashionably Numb has awarded me with the versatile blogger award! I'm so thankful for it, and glad that he thought of me.
Along with the award, I'm supposed to provide a link back to the person who awarded me (click Fashionably Numb above to go visit Angel's blog), provide seven facts about myself, and give this award to seven other bloggers.

Along with the award, I'm supposed to provide a link back to the person who awarded me (click Fashionably Numb above to go visit Angel's blog), provide seven facts about myself, and give this award to seven other bloggers.
Here are seven facts about myself:
- I am currently a freshman in college at the University of Michigan and I plan to major in Biology with a minor in Spanish.
- I really love to read (not just magazines, books too). My favorite books include Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, 1984 by George Orwell, And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, and The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen.
- I want to travel to Africa and South America to photograph animals and perform biological research.
- I really love natural world documentaries. Planet Earth and Life (both premiering on the Discovery channel) are amazing. The films made by Disney Nature (Earth, Oceans, and soon to come Big Cats of Africa) are also breathtaking.
- My favorite item of clothing to wear is definitely the dress. So comfortable, and can be worn in any season. I love buying all different cuts, patterns, and designs and pairing them with an array of shoes.
- I absolutely love dogs. I have a chocolate lab and a brittany, who are the two most amazing dogs anyone could ask for.
- I love music (well, who doesn't haha). My favorite artists include Jack Johnson, Kings of Leon, Muse, Ke$ha, Weezer, and Matt & Kim.
And finally, I'm not going to award this to seven bloggers. I'm going to give it to three blogs I've recently discovered that I really look forward to reading whenever they post.
And they are:
I encourage you to go check them out!
Again, thank you so much Angel from Fashionably Numb for the award!

Float Away
According to me,
daisies are amazing. They're such an underrated flower. They are so classic, beautiful, and calm on their own. These two pictures are from my grandmother's beautiful flower garden. Every time I look at the bright blue sky in this picture, it makes me want to float away.
The outfit I chose to go with these pictures is a very simple, very comfortable summer outfit. I plan to wear a version of this most days. I can't wait for summer!
