Timeless Neutral

According to me,
I love to wear this blazer. I purchased it about a month ago from Forever 21. I love the color because it goes with everything (obviously, it's a neutral). I've taken to wearing heels a lot more often, and these have been in my closet for years. But really, it's a timeless color and shape to me. A nice and simple pump and a great shade of yellow. They look great with just about everything.
Oh, and look at the ring! I love it. Big rings are definitely one of my favorite accessories.

Orange White and Blue

According to me,
I love both this sweater and this skirt. I don't wear this skirt often because it's a statement piece, but I do love to make different outfits with it. It was a chilly day, so I thought this bright orange sweater would compliment the skirt nicely. I topped it off with this huge necklace, and was good to go. This outfit was definitely full of statement items, but I think it worked out well. What do you think?

(Look how good I was at not wearing clothing all from the same store!)

Nautical Nonsense

According to me,
that describes my day with this outfit. Lots of nautical nonsense (although, the only thing that made it nautical was this shirt). Today was supposed to be my relaxing day of the week, but it ended up being so busy! Typical Wednesday; oh Hump Day. So good but so bad.
Today started with me skipping my run (I know I know, it's shameful) due to the hot and humid weather. It wasn't too sunny, but I felt like I could grab the air it was so humid out! So after a lazy morning, I ended up going to the new Salvation Army with my good friend. I have been looking for a vanity/desk for my new apartment house. Lo and behold I found one!
It's got this great antique feel to it, and I got it for only $40. It probably wasn't worth that much, but I loved it too much to care. It's currently off white with some gold trim; I'm going to repaint it a fresh and nice white.
After that success, I lazed around with my friend and we chatted for a while. I then met my boyfriend for dinner (as we do every Wednesday).
So for all that busyness, I wanted to wear something loose, comfortable, and cool. Anything form-fitting would have killed me in this humidity.
So I chose this. It's pretty much just a variation on my normal summer outfit. Shorts, fun top, watch, and some statement jewelry. Nothing special but very comfortable.
The hair was a mess, but what can ya do?

Shirt: H&M
Shorts: Old Navy
Belt: Vintage
Necklace: Fossil
Watch: Fossil

P.S. You'll notice a variation in hairstyles and accessories. That's because I was lazy and didn't take all of my photos at the same time. The bun = end of the day haha.

Nautical Leather

According to me,
I wear these white shorts way too often, but I love them! Plus, I don't own very many pairs of shorts. That's something I definitely need to buy more of.
Normally when I need a belt, I raid my mom's closet. I don't own very many belts, and she's apparently had a secret stash of awesome belts that I've never seen! She let me have any of them I wanted because she never wears them, so success! I now have a large belt collection!
I'm happy my watch went so well with this outfit. But my boyfriend thinks it's massive! I told him he has to get a watch that's bigger than mine; it'd just be weird if mine was bigger than his!

Snap Out of It

According to me,
I've been an epic bum the past two weeks. Since I last posted, the only noteworthy things I've done are go to downtown Ann Arbor for an afternoon, read 3 books, and finish my Spring class.
So really, nothing noteworthy.
I just can't believe I read 3 books in 3 days. Insane. I was so absorbed by the plots though. Extremely interesting and thought provoking. I read The Joy Luck Club, Mrs. Kimble, and Shanghai Girls. All very good and I recommend them.
On a side note, I read a book called A Vintage Affair earlier this summer; all of you vintage clothes lovers would enjoy it. Go buy it!

Anyways, here's my inspiration for the next few days. I adore the hair and the tan. I plan to get a fierce (but safe!) tan next week on vacation. Wish me luck :)
How have you all been? I've acquired some new followers in my lazy absence, so I hope you enjoy visiting!

Nautical to the Max

According to me,
this is the first maxi dress/skirt I've ever worn! I just bought a maxi dress, but it has yet to be worn. I paired this with a simple white tee, my white watch, and white heart earrings. I love the stripes, and this is the most comfortable skirt I've ever worn!
For makeup, I did some brown shades from Clinique. I love the slight smoky eye it gives. And, I parted my hair in the middle! I did this in yesterday's post too; I don't do it very often!

Shirt: Target
Watch: Fossil
Shoes: Target
Earrings: Forever 21

Stay to the max.
