Feeling Spring

According to me,

I'm really getting in the mood for spring. I can't bring myself to buy anything in dark colors, only bright and colorful! I recently purchased this cream sweater from the Gap and these minty green earrings from Fossil. I've never bought a white or cream sweater before, I'm terrified I'll ruin it. But I thought, what the hell, I'll give it a try. It's on sale anyways! So far, so good. No stains. *Knocks on wood.*

This is also the first time you really get a good look at my new hair! I recently died it dark red/violet. I've never dyed it before, so this was a big step for me. I wasn't sure at first, but I've grown to love it! Let me know what you think!

Photo Shooting

According to me,
it's been way too long since I've done a photo shoot! I really love to do fashion shoots. It lets me be creative and have fun with it. I really want to start doing a variety of different models because currently, I only use my friends.
Do you guys have any tips on how to collaborate with other models? Or, if you're in Michigan at all, would you want to be a model? Any suggestions help!
Here's a shoot I did with someone you've all seen before. She's appeared on this blog more than once before. She died her hair a nice red color, so at least it's a bit different than usual!

Let me know what you guys think! I styled, edited, and took the photographs.

A Maje Halloween

According to me,
Halloween was very fun this year. I dressed up as Rachel Zoe, of course. Was there any other option? I used all of my own clothes and went out and bought a blonde wig. A few people didn't even recognize me! And obviously, not many people knew who I was. But I loved it!
By the way, how amazing is the faux fur vest from Forever 21? I adore it.

Altuzarra Spring 2012 RTW

According to me,
what I love most about this collection are the details. Besides loving a black and white color scheme with pops of color, the shoes, makeup, and hair really brought this collection to life. I love a strong brow; it makes any woman look fierce. The messy, in the face hair of this really accentuated the urban feel of the collection. But what I mostly loved where the heeled oxfords. They're cut outs, which I think looks fantastic. What do you think of Altuzarra's latest collection? He's really a fantastic designer.

Blush Draping

According to me,
I adore this color. Blush. It's so pretty and soft. And, here's another pair of new shorts! These are draped shorts form Old Navy. I really love how they fit. But I discovered that they were more for standing, not walking. They are a bit goofy when I walk haha.
I've taken to wearing my hair up in a bun lately. I need a haircut badly, all of my layers are grown out funny. Thankfully I scheduled a haircut for this week!

Knitted Top-Sider

According to me,
this is not my normal style, but I actually really like it. I've been disliking these jeans for a while now, something about the length was really annoying me. Today, I cuffed them to see what they looked like. Voila! They're my new favorite pants!
I thought the cropped pant would look good with my new Sperry look-a-likes. Throw on a knitted hat and you're good to go!

I've recently acquired new makeup, new jeans, a sweater, and a new hat. Posts about them will hopefully be coming soon!

Hello Bow

According to me,
some days I just want to have fun. Apparently in my mind, fun means wearing a giant pink bow.
But be honest, who doesn't want to look like Hello Kitty? She's rather amazing.

So I'll throw this out there: bust or must? I work this to work. Some people probably thought I was insane. But it was fun!

Today I went to an outlet mall with my mom and grandma. Oh boy. I broke the rules for my monthly budget BIG time. You'll hear more about it soon (but in my opinion, it was all worth it!).

Nautical Nonsense

According to me,
that describes my day with this outfit. Lots of nautical nonsense (although, the only thing that made it nautical was this shirt). Today was supposed to be my relaxing day of the week, but it ended up being so busy! Typical Wednesday; oh Hump Day. So good but so bad.
Today started with me skipping my run (I know I know, it's shameful) due to the hot and humid weather. It wasn't too sunny, but I felt like I could grab the air it was so humid out! So after a lazy morning, I ended up going to the new Salvation Army with my good friend. I have been looking for a vanity/desk for my new apartment house. Lo and behold I found one!
It's got this great antique feel to it, and I got it for only $40. It probably wasn't worth that much, but I loved it too much to care. It's currently off white with some gold trim; I'm going to repaint it a fresh and nice white.
After that success, I lazed around with my friend and we chatted for a while. I then met my boyfriend for dinner (as we do every Wednesday).
So for all that busyness, I wanted to wear something loose, comfortable, and cool. Anything form-fitting would have killed me in this humidity.
So I chose this. It's pretty much just a variation on my normal summer outfit. Shorts, fun top, watch, and some statement jewelry. Nothing special but very comfortable.
The hair was a mess, but what can ya do?

Shirt: H&M
Shorts: Old Navy
Belt: Vintage
Necklace: Fossil
Watch: Fossil

P.S. You'll notice a variation in hairstyles and accessories. That's because I was lazy and didn't take all of my photos at the same time. The bun = end of the day haha.

Purple Pearl

According to me,
although I'm on a tight budget, this headband was a good purchase. It was one of my new purchases (mentioned in this post) and it has served me well so far. I love the design of it, but what I really love is that it's loose and stays on my head! A lot of headbands either give me headaches or slip right off my head. I'm happy I've found the perfect one!
Today's outfit was meant to be as cool and comfortable as possible. My drive to work is around 40 minutes, and my car doesn't have air conditioning. So, dressing cool is a mandatory thing. Opening the windows really does nothing when it's so humid and hot out. But oh well, I'm just happy I have access to a car!
In regards to my recent announcement of putting myself on a fashion budget, I've changed it a bit. My income isn't the exact same every pay day. I work a part-time hourly job so it can vary quite a bit. I've decided to budget myself based on percentages. Sadly, only 15% goes towards fashion. Hopefully this will force me to really think about what I'm buying. Wish me luck!

Wash It Out

According to me,
this photo shoot originally involved only myself and one friend. But, word got out.
So, it ended up being me, three girls, and a guy. Zack has already appeared on here, and so has my sister. But the other two are new.
It was a lot of fun; I styled them and took the photos. My sister did the makeup. I did the hair too! I was proud of myself haha. I was definitely feeling the washed out look. Less color is more in my mind. There are more posted on my facebook page, but these are a few I really like.

Oh, and yes. Some of the stuff there wearing are my clothes haha. Gotta reuse!
