Wash It Out

According to me,
this photo shoot originally involved only myself and one friend. But, word got out.
So, it ended up being me, three girls, and a guy. Zack has already appeared on here, and so has my sister. But the other two are new.
It was a lot of fun; I styled them and took the photos. My sister did the makeup. I did the hair too! I was proud of myself haha. I was definitely feeling the washed out look. Less color is more in my mind. There are more posted on my facebook page, but these are a few I really like.

Oh, and yes. Some of the stuff there wearing are my clothes haha. Gotta reuse!

I'm Addicted.

According to me,
I'm addicted to shopping. I'm sure most of us bloggers are. It's so difficult to resist that awesome pair of shades or that pair of shoes you've been lusting after. Here are the products of my latest shopping binges. Not good, I know. Could I have lived without them? Yes No.
After staring at my sad bank account statement, I've decided to put myself on a monthly fashion budget. Many bloggers do it and it seems to be working well for them, so I'll give it a whirl. I'm going to allot myself $40 for each month. I know that's not a lot, but I don't make a lot of money. I probably should make that lower, but we'll see how it goes after one month. This will start in August and I will chronicle all of my purchases for the whole month. If I miraculously begin to earn more money, hopefully my allotted monetary value will rise.
(As a side note, there's a messenger bag from Fossil that I'll be splurging on for school. I'm going to buy that instead of the weekender)
Wish me luck, this is going to be tough. I hope I succeed, and so does my bank account!

Buttoned Up

According to me,
it's been so nice out lately. I love working, but it's sad that I have to stay inside a mall when it's so gorgeous out. I hope it's as nice by you!

Geometric Monochromatic

According to me,
this is the skirt I got at the art fair on Thursday. I love the pattern and I've been looking for a skirt with buttons all down the front. I had a long but fun weekend, I hope your weekend was fun! I'll be posting some of my new purchases soon.

Sunny White

According to me,
this shirt is so comfortable. I adore it. Plus, it makes me think of this post; that was the day I finally discovered how the heck to do my hair! Took me long enough haha. But really, the whole process of doing my hair will always be changing. Nothing ever works for more than 3 or 4 months.
Anyways, this was my comfy outfit for visiting my sister with my mom. We went out to lunch then hit up the big mall by where she lives. I got a great headband and AMAZING sunglasses. Those will definitely be shown soon.
I have a photo shoot coming up on Tuesday. Let's hope for good weather and great photos!

Ann Arbor Art Fair

According to me,
the day I went, Thursday, was excruciatingly hot. My mom and I knew it was going to be the hottest day, so we chose to go then because there would be less crowds. We were right; there were not many people there. Plus, we didn't die in the heat (obviously, or I wouldn't be typing this). We packed two frozen water bottles plus a regular one each, brought a water squirt bottle, and I bought myself a big floppy sun hat to keep the sun off of my face and shoulders.
I love going to the art fair just to see all the different kinds of items sold. There's such a plethora of fun little knick knacks and art pieces. I bought two wooden tulips and a skirt. My mom bought kitchen decorations and a mix for wine slushies (sounds weird, but actually pretty cool).
I haven't taken pictures of my buys yet, but hopefully within the next couple days I will. For now, I leave you with a few snapshots of the art fair and a picture of my outfit. This was only a small (very small) section of the fair. It runs along 5 or 6 different streets and is quite the shindig.
It was really fun and I can't wait to go again next year, especially considering that it'll be right outside my front door! Let's just hope it isn't as hot.

Vintage Re-Issue Must Have.

According to me,
working at Fossil might have been the worst choice of job for me. I love working there, but I want to buy everything! Half my paychecks go down the drain because I'm surrounded by gorgeous watches and bags all day. Trust me, resisting is excruciating.
But, this is one collection I refuse to resist. All of the sales associates are in love with it. It's the new Vintage Re-Issue collection. Trust me, once you go into a Fossil store and hold one of these bags, there's no way you won't buy one. I'm going to save up for the largest one (the Weekender) because it'll work well for school. But I also love the messenger bag (the Flap with Lock). Well, to be honest, I love it all.
So what do you think of these? Are they not divine?

P.S. I'll be spending all day at the Ann Arbor art fair! I'll try to take a lot of pictures to document the experience. I try to go every year, it's so fun! Just hope I don't suffer to much in the heat!

To reuse or not to reuse; that is the question.

According to me,
I'm the queen of repeating pieces. I'm pretty sure you've all seen everything in this outfit except the clutch and earrings. But, when on a budget, do we really have an option?
For me, reusing is OK. I try not to repeat outfits, but I recombine the same pieces in many ways. I'm a college student with not a lot of money to spend, so I really have no other choice. When I shop for new pieces, I go for things that will work with a lot of stuff I already have. I'll buy a statement piece every once in a while, such as my nautical maxi skirt, but sometimes it's more cost effective to purchase something that will match many other things.
Is it bad that I reuse pieces very often or should I buy more to add to the mix. I'd love an honest opinion on this! Or, if you have any tips and tricks on mixing and reinventing pieces, I'd love for you to share.

(Also, I'm going to consider this a bust or must post. Bust or Must: Reusing.)
