Feeling Spring

According to me,

I'm really getting in the mood for spring. I can't bring myself to buy anything in dark colors, only bright and colorful! I recently purchased this cream sweater from the Gap and these minty green earrings from Fossil. I've never bought a white or cream sweater before, I'm terrified I'll ruin it. But I thought, what the hell, I'll give it a try. It's on sale anyways! So far, so good. No stains. *Knocks on wood.*

This is also the first time you really get a good look at my new hair! I recently died it dark red/violet. I've never dyed it before, so this was a big step for me. I wasn't sure at first, but I've grown to love it! Let me know what you think!

According to me,

this plaid scarf was the best purchase I've ever made. It's incredibly warm, and it lays so nicely. I paired it with a navy fedora and dark brown jacket for a winter to spring transition outfit.

The Haul: Stocking Up On Fall Basics

According to me,

nothing is as exciting as getting a fantastic pair of leather loafers for only $12. Yea, you read that correctly. $12. The shopping gods have looked down upon me and smiled. Below are pictures of the fantastic pieces I picked up at an outlet mall near me.

Of course I'm gushing over every shoe, but my favorite piece has got to be my new "Holy Chic" shirt. I never do graphic tees, but I could not pass this one up. I can't wait to pair it with a fantastic skirt and structured jacket.

The End of a Long Hiatus

According to me,

It's good to be back. I've dearly missed blogging and being involved with fashion. The past couple years have been a crazy mix of school and working. Some massive changes have occurred in my life recently and I'm ready to start fresh and get back to doing what I love. Which is, of course, fashion.

In the next couple weeks I'm hoping to redesign the layout of my blog and get some outfit posts in the works. I have some great makeup reviews and tutorials lined up, so get pumped!

I'm thrilled to be back and am determined to post regularly. I've gotta do what I love, right?

Polish Review: Play Date By Essie

According to me,

Essie is a fantastic nail polish brand. But we all know that already. I was recently introduce to their top coat Good to Go and my world changed. I have never in my life had my nails dry so quickly! I used to never paint my nails because I can't stand sitting around waiting for them to dry, but now I just wait five minutes and poof! they're dry. If you haven't already, you need to get your hands on this top coat.
Life. Changing.

The other day I saw a woman with the most beautiful purple nails and I decided that I needed to have beautiful purple nails. I went to Ulta and bought this shade. Overall I'm very pleased with the outcome. The one thing that I didn't like was that it took three coats to obtain this opacity. The first coat was quite sheer. But once I loaded my nails up with three coats the color was great. I love it!

Miranda Kerr Street Style

According to me,
Miranda Kerr admittedly has great style. Although we all hate her for having such a gorgeous body and being a VS model, you have to love her for her natural beauty and great outfits. I've pulled together a few that I've really been liking lately. They've definitely been inspiring me! Not that I've worn great clothes lately; it's finals week for me and I'm swamped!
I love the way she rocks skinny jeans with an assortment of great tops and fun shoes. She definitely isn't afraid to rock multiple statement pieces at once and always has a great balance to her looks. So, as a break from studying, here's some eye candy.

Lusty Lenses

According to me,

I'm obsessed with Tom Ford's eyewear line. His sunglasses for women are to die for. If I wore my glasses on a regular basis, I would seriously consider investing in a pair of his frames, they are gorgeous and so unique.
In addition to the actual product, I really love his ads. They are always eye-catching and sexy. This one really grabbed me when I was flipping through my latest Harper's Bazaar. The makeup is GORGEOUS! And although the glasses are a bit too large, they totally work with this styling.

My (not so) Secret Obsession

According to me,

I absolutely love watches. Granted, I only owned one before working at Fossil, but I still wore it every day because I think watches are an integral part of an outfit! But now, I have seven and I love all of them. And trust me, seven is not a lot compared to some people I know!
I love having a large variety of watches too, because I don't always want to look the same.
My favorite is definitely my gold original boyfriend (on the far right). It's classic and simple. I also love my chocolate ceramic (second from right) because it's soooo nice.

My newest addition is my small square and silver one. I don't usually wear smaller watches (as you can see...), but this one really caught my eye. I love it!

Season of Gray

According to me,

I've been really loving gray a lot. Not that I don't normally love it, my wardrobe is actually about half gray. I just love the color in every shade. I think that because it's fall I'm especially loving it, and maybe because of the fact that it looks so good with my new leopard loafies (which, by the way, are definitely the best purchase I've made in a long time).
And, super exciting, I made my own infinity scarf! Admittedly not difficult at all, I'm actually very proud of it. Joann Fabrics was having a sale on fabric, so I had to at least try. The scarf only cost me $6 after I was done sewing it, and it only took me about fifteen minutes to sew. I'll probably be going back to buy more colors in this same fabric to make more. If I do, I'll put up a tutorial so you guys can try to make your own too!

Fendi Spring 2013 RTW

According to me,

Fendi is definitely becoming one of my favorite brands. Their clothing is always interesting and bold. I also really love all of their campaigns; the current one with Joan Smalls is gorgeous. Here are my favorite looks from their latest show, the last dress on Joan Smalls is so incredibly stunning. What do you think??

Dark Eyes and Nude Lips

According to me,

I love nude lips and dark eyes. Definitely a hard look to wear all day, but I still love it. I use just a dab of concealer or foundation to make my lips nude, but obviously that wasn't meant to stay on lips all day, so it's definitely not a long term wear look.
But, if you guys have a good suggestion for getting a matte nude lip that lasts all day, let me know!

Well Worth It Splurges

According to me,

Outlets are my favorite. I always spend way too much money when I go, but I always end up with awesome stuff.
My best purchase was definitely my leopard loafers. I'm so obsessed with them and so so glad that I bought them. I was really nervous because flats are normally not comfortable at all for me, but these surprisingly are.
I also got a gorgeous cardigan/sweatshirt/blazer from Tommy Hilfiger. Not sure exactly what you would call it, but it's definitely super versatile.

Go visit your local outlet mall and shop till you drop. Just because the clothes are a little bit out of season doesn't mean you can't find trendy pieces!!

Falling for September

According to me,
when I've been neglecting my blog and the world of fashion, September always reels me back in. Thank God it does because I miss my blog! I've finally received all my September issues, so I plan to delve into all of those before school begins (boo). I just took a shopping trip JP to some outlets and thoroughly was red my money, so the fruits of my labor will be posted shortly. I definitely scored some major pieces for the coming fall. For now I'll leave you with the lovely phone book we've all been obsessing over. Happy September!

Neon, Gold, White.

According to me,
these colors have been so popular lately. Everywhere you look, neon is making a splash. I love that both neon and pastels are so in at the same time, such a contradiction. But, I love to pair neon with white and gold for the summer. Obviously it looks fantastic with a tan, and the crispness of it is awesome.

Summer Shades

According to me,
with my classes  FINALLY coming to an end, I'm on the hunt for some great pieces for my summer wardrobe. To be honest, by summer closet is severely lacking in every area. No sandals, barely any lightweight shirts, and none of my shorts fit properly anymore (damn you, college). So my goal is to invest in some tops that can be used for work and daily summer wear, and to lose some of this college weight so I can get back into my beloved shorts. But, in the meantime, I am addicted to skirts and dresses, so I'll probably pick a few of those up until my shorts fit right again.

Social Media Storm

According to me,
social media begins to overwhelm me at times. I know I'm not the only one. Who has time to create an extensive bookmarking system on their browser to keep track of all the sites they love and remember how to find their way through their own system?? Certainly not me. I tried the bookmark system and failed miserably. I even tried devoting one browser entirely to my blog and all sites related, but the browser was way too slow to deal with (and I thought Firefox was supposed to be awesome...).
So, back on Chrome, I've been searching for a great way to organize all of my sites that I like to visit on a daily basis. I always knew that Chrome had the app store, but I'd never really explored it. Being bored today (and avoiding much needed studying), I decided to take a peak and came upon a few gadgets that really help me to keep organized.

First, Evernote. Some of you may use this already, and if you don't, start. You can sink your browser, desktop, and smart phone all at once. It's pretty handy seeing as I'm always jumping in between my phone and my laptop. You can take pictures, add notes, to do lists, inspirations, basically anything you want. You can also add labels and organize your "notes" into their own notebooks. I really like it because I tend to take pictures of stuff I like, but they end up getting forgotten on my phone. Now I can pop them into Evernote and it reminds me when I get back onto my laptop.

Second, persona/. This is pretty cool because it takes all of your social medias and RSS feeds and puts them into one organized newsfeed. I like this because I'll never forget to visit a site. I can just jump on this and it's all right in front of me. The only downside is that I spend way too much time leafing through all the new posts and pictures. You can even clip stuff straight from this into Evernote.

I'm trying to add a little organization in my life cause I always feel so spread out. Hopefully this can help me to get my head in the game and blog more. I've been neglecting this way too much. And I'm so behind on my magazines! That's never a good thing. So if you guys are feeling flustered with all the social media and blogs out there, I suggest those two devices to keep yourself organized and insane! And if you don't feel overwhelmed from all the stuff out there, give me some tips cause you must be awesomely organized!

And there's a nice picture to help ya relax haha. I didn't take it, but I love the bokeh effect in it!

Pick Me up

According to me,
what's better than a little blog-browsing to ease the tension of studying for exams? In my opinion, not much. It's a great way to take a short break and get the brain goin'. Here's what's catching my eye right now.

These are from some of the blogs we all know and love. I can never get enough. But, the most inspiring lately has definitely been atlantic-pacific.blogspot.com. I love how she styles all of her outfits.

To all of you college fashionistas out there, good luck on final exams. Hopefully yours will be over soon too!
