First Taste of Summer

According to me,
spring is perplexing. One day it's comparable to winter, the next it's like the hottest summer day, and then sometimes it's just plain old spring. Needless to say, checking the weather has become an integral part of choosing my outfit.
This past Sunday was a taste of summer. It reached 81 degrees here. Seriously. 81. In Michigan. In early April. Unheard of. I was either outside or by a window the whole day. It was pure beauty. I just couldn't let go of it. So I put this outfit together. It reached the high 60s, but it was absurdly windy (as you can see form the pictures). My outfit wasn't very practical, but I kept the spirit of summer alive!
I love this dress. It's vintage, handed down to me by my mom. She wore it a lot when she was in college. I absolutely love the sunflower design, and the skirt is so floaty and fun. I always pair it with this brown belt (I actually tied that bow!).
Was it worth it to be holding down a dress through gusts of winds? Of course.

Dress: Vintage

Stay sunny.

  1. I love that dress!!! You look so cute, I'm totally with you on the whole weather thing. Although it looks like I"ll be living in rainboots for the next couple of days... yeah that's attractive. Anyway great outfit! I'm mad jealous of your summerlike weather right now.
